How Truecaller Works ?
Truecaller have collection of all the contacts (mobile phonebook) of its users (People who use this app) from all around the world and the public phone directories.When a person download and starts using Truecaller, this app uploads all the contacts of that person to its database. So when you search a number on Truecaller it shows the name someone saved in his/her phonebook.
Example: I am using this app and I saved your number as "Mr. x" in my phonebook, now if someone will search with your number on truecaller it will show your name that is "Mr. x"
How to remove your number from Truecaller ?
If you dont want your number to appear in Truecaller's search result then you can unlist it from truecaller's website. Go to: http://www.truecaller.com/unlist
